Log in to Sokra

Sokra is where you chat with AI assistants and work through the activities your teacher sets up for you. To get in, you use the login card your teacher or school gave you, not an email address. The first time, you make the account your own by picking a password only you know.

This takes about three minutes. You do not need anything except your login card.

Before you start

Have your login card ready. Your teacher or school hands this out, and it has the two things you need: your username and a starting password. If you do not have a card, ask your teacher, since students do not sign themselves up.

Log in and set up your account

The first time, signing in and setting up your account happen one after the other. After that, logging in is just your username and your own password. Work through the steps in order.

1. Open Sokra and choose how you sign in

Go to the Sokra sign-in page. When it asks how you use Sokra, choose As a student, then Sign in as student. This is the student door, separate from the one teachers use.

2. Enter your login details

Type the Username and Password from your login card, then click Log in. If your details do not work, use the Forgot your login details? Ask your teacher or school note on the page. Students cannot reset their own login, so your teacher or school is the fastest way back in.

3. Make your account yours

The first time you log in, Sokra shows a short Welcome to Sokra setup so you can personalize your account. Enter your name under What's your name?. Only your teacher sees your name, so use your real one. Then check your username. You can keep the one on your card or pick a new one, and Sokra tells you right away if it is available. This is the name classmates see and the one you log in with from now on.

4. Create your own password

Set a password only you know under Create a password, and type it again to confirm. As you type, Sokra shows what your password still needs: at least eight characters, one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number. This replaces the starting password from your card.

5. Add a photo, then get started

If you want, add a photo so your account feels like yours. A photo is optional. When you are happy, click Get started.

6. You're in

Sokra opens to your home screen and welcomes you back whenever you return. From here you see the spaces and assistants your teacher has set up for you, ready to start.

Data & safety

You log in with a username, not an email, so you do not need an email address to use Sokra. Your real name is only visible to your teacher, never to the whole internet. The password you create is yours alone, so keep it private and do not share it, the same way you would with any password. If you ever need to get back in and cannot, your teacher or school can help.

Tips

  • After you set your own password, that is the one you use, not the starting password from the card. Remember the new one.
  • Pick a username you will recognize quickly. You will type it every time you log in.
  • Keep your login card somewhere safe until you are sure you remember your username and new password.

Troubleshooting

My password does not work. After your first login you use the password you created, not the starting one from the card. If you forgot it, use Forgot your login details? Ask your teacher or school, since you cannot reset it yourself.

The username I want is taken. Sokra checks availability as you type and tells you if a username is already in use. Pick another one, and look for the message that says it is available.

It says my teacher is still setting things up. Your learning area is not ready yet. That is normal on the first day. Relax for a moment and check back soon, and Sokra will let you know when it is ready.

I do not have a login card. You cannot sign up on your own. Ask your teacher for your card or your login details.
