Find your spaces and assistants
Once you are logged in, everything you need is a click or two away. Your teacher sets up Spaces, one for each class or subject, and puts assistants inside them for you to use. This is how you find your Spaces and open the right assistant.
This takes about two minutes. You do not need any technical knowledge.
Before you start
You need to be logged in. If you are not yet, log in to Sokra first, then come back here. Your teacher also needs to have set up a Space and shared an assistant with you. If you do not see anything yet, that is normal. Your teacher may still be getting your class ready.
Find your spaces and assistants
Your Home screen and the sidebar on the left are your starting points. Work through the steps in order.
1. Start on your Home screen
After you log in, Sokra opens your Home screen and welcomes you back, ready to continue your learning journey. You can always get back here by clicking Home in the sidebar.
2. Open a Space from the sidebar
In the sidebar on the left, look under Spaces. These are the classes your teacher set up for you. Click the Space for the class you are working on. Only your teacher can create Spaces, so you will see the ones made for you, not a button to add your own.
3. Pick an assistant
Inside the Space you see the assistants your teacher shared with that class. Each one has a name, an emoji, and a short description so you know what it helps with. Click the assistant you want to use.
4. Start working
The assistant opens and you can begin right away. Send your first message or follow what the assistant asks, and you are off.
Data & safety
You only see the Spaces and assistants your teacher has shared with you, nothing else from the school. Your teacher can see the conversations you have with an assistant, so treat a session like work you hand in. There is more on this in using AI responsibly.
Tips
- If a Space or an assistant is not there yet, your teacher may still be setting up. Check back a little later.
- Use Home in the sidebar whenever you want to get back to the start.
- The same assistant can show up in more than one class. Open the Space for the class you are actually working on so you use the right one.
Troubleshooting
I do not see any Spaces. Your teachers have not created any Spaces for you yet. The screen tells you this directly. Check back soon, and your class will appear once your teacher sets it up.
A Space is empty. Your teachers have not shared any assistants with that class yet. Once they do, the assistants show up inside the Space.
I cannot find a button to make my own Space. Only teachers create Spaces. You join the ones your teacher prepares for you, so there is nothing for you to set up.
